Introducing “Drag Race Medical,” a dedicated division of Indy Enable Us 500 designed specifically for EMTs, nurses, doctors, administrators, medical staff, caregivers, patients, and healthcare support teams. Participants can form racing teams, represent their hospitals or organizations, and compete in exclusive drag racing events at Yello Belly Drag Strip in Grand Prairie, Texas. The mission is to unite the medical community, adaptive athletes, motorsports fans, and physically challenged competitors in a high-energy, all-inclusive racing environment focused on teamwork, accessibility, innovation, and entertainment.
Featured at the center of the competition is the legendary Spaceminers racing team, an all-inclusive, physically challenged-owned and operated musical drag racing team led by Vincent Lopresti. Challengers will attempt to outrun the iconic 1985 GMC Caballero Diablo El Camino, a fully customized antique race vehicle equipped with a wheelchair lift and wheelchair mounted in the bed, symbolizing adaptive engineering, determination, and equal access to motorsports. The Caballero Diablo represents the growing movement for physically challenged participation in racing nationwide while combining live music, entertainment, technology, and competitive drag racing into one unforgettable experience.
Medical organizations, rehabilitation centers, emergency response teams, adaptive mobility companies, and healthcare sponsors are encouraged to join the movement, build teams, and compete head-to-head against the Spaceminers and other entrants.
